How your portfolio is valued

Our dynamic Portfolio Value chart adjusts for any new capital added, so performance metrics reflect actual price appreciation or depreciation — not just growth from additional investment. You can view your returns over custom timeframes (1M, 3M, YTD, etc.), with detailed breakdowns of:

  • Invested price – The price you originally paid for each wine.
  • Market price – The lowest price a reputable/trusted merchant is currently offering the wine for sale at.
  • Last traded price – The most recent secondary market transaction price for a wine, giving you an up-to-date view of actual sale activity.
  • Mid-Price – The average between the Market Price and Last traded price, offering a balanced valuation where trades may be infrequent.
  • Profit/loss – The market price minus your invested price.
