If you purchase or sell a wine for £1,000, the commission would be £30. The 3% commission charge is subject to VAT, so the total commission would be £36.

Yes, however, they must already be stored in a UK or EU bonded tax warehouse, and in perfect condition as per our terms & conditions. Each case of wine is subject to a thorough inspection at our warehouse prior to settlement. The photos and comments from the inspection will be uploaded to your account for you to see. “In Bond” refers to wines or spirits that have not yet had Duty or VAT applied. This allows a case or bottle of wine stored in an HMRC-approved bonded warehouse to be bought and sold multiple times without any of the owners having to pay taxes. For these reasons, wine bought and sold for investment purposes is almost exclusively traded In Bond.

Yes, all purchases are initially assigned to your own account with BordeauXchange at London City Bond. Once assigned, you can arrange delivery or collection via the 'Storage' page of your account or by contacting us. We can deliver to any UK address within 10 days.
We do not offer international delivery, but we can release the wines for collection by your chosen transporter. If you do not have a transporter, please contact us and we can offer our recommendations.
